It had been a very satisfying time for me as mentor of Akash House for the session 2008/2009. Took over at a crucial time when certain important transitions were taking place. With the help and support of the students, AHM and tutors of Akash House, I had a most enjoyable and satisfying time. Challenging at times nonetheless, the Akash spirit was truely imbedded in me which I will cherish for ever. My special thanks and gratitude to all the students for making me feel proud in mentor's meetings where I had the least disciplinary problems to discuss, the Academic council meeting where my house students kept the academic banner flying high. The net result, we started showing great improvements in almost all spheres, the credit of which goes to all past and present Akashians. 

Arbodh Sir,  sincere gratitude for making my life as a mentor so easy.

To all tutors ( Chloe, Sandeep Ghosh, Shantanu Sir, Ambrish Sir, Prakash Sir, Anupama Madam, Bidyut Sir ), for your kind and gracious cooperation.

My best wishes to the new incumbent, Mr. Amit Gustav. I am sure that under his able guidance, the Akash House flag will continue flying high.

The stables of Akash House never seems to dry up. After the talented Sandeep Ghosh, we have yet another skilled artisan, Mr Bidyut Dutta. Here we see the delicate and artistic fingers at work creating the image of Goddess Sarwasati for the school arcade.

Arnav sure fits in the cap of the SelaQui Cook. Mr Pandey, beware-Your culinary masterpieces are in danger. It will be Arnav with a high Michelin rating next, to cater to our palates. He will be well stocked with lots of European, specially Swiss dishes.

Hopefully, Debleena will come back with some recipes of Philipino dishes as willl Arnav with some Swiss cuisines!!!!!

The next time Akash House has any celebrations, these two will have to cook up a speciality for the House- Cheers!!!!!

IN THE PASTEL CATEGORY IN JUNIORS INDRANIL SAIKIA BAGGED THE FIRST PRIZE.IN THE PENCIL CATEGORY WE HAD MANAV CHHABRA BAGGING THE FIRST PRIZE.IN WATER COLORS FOR JUNIORS OUR VERY OWN ABHINAV CHANGMAI BAGGED THE FIRST PRIZE. IN THE SENIOR CATEGORY, ANKIT PODDAR GOT THE SECOND POSITION.IN CANVAS PAINTING KARAN BANSAL AND PALLAV HALWAY GOT THE FIRST AND SECOND PRIZE RESPECTIVELY.THEY WERE HONOURED BY THE RENOWNED ARTISTS AT THE ART FESTIVAL.....

Captain speak....

The occasion was the Akash House Party when our shy ex-Captain, Ayush Pandey was literally coerced to speak up in public. He did a great job as you can see from the video.

   Has been just a week but Anubhav and Tarun has taken up the mantle of captaincy quite well. Both are low keyed characters but can put their points across quite succintly when needed. 

The teachers versus students cricket match saw our charismatic vice captain and soft spoken captain taking the bull by the horns literally. Belting the teacher's team bowlers around, Ayush Jethy  scored a rapid half century besides bagging 5 wickets . No less behind was Ayush Pandey who drew applause from the crowd for his power hitting, specially when the ball sailed over the school boundary into the horizon.

YESTERDAY,WE HAD THE INVESTITURE CERMONY AT SELAQUI AND OUR NEW CAPTAINS ANUBHAV JINDAL AND TARUN SAROGI WERE HONOURED WITH THE BATCHES BY BRIG NARESH RATHORE.THE SCHOOL CAPTAIN ARNAV SALUJA IS ALSO FROM OUR HOUSE.WE ARE PROUD OF YOU GUYS.KEEP UP THE HARD WORK AND TAKE AKASH HOUSE TO GREATER HEIGHTS.

We lead despite the dissapointments and heartbreaks

We had our glorious moments in the 2nd day of the Inter House Atheletics Meet. Here are some of our champions in action.

Sandeep Sir has been with us for only a year 

but in the short span he has left his impression

in our hearts. With his smiling face, jolly nature

and not the least, his artistic manifestations, 

he will always be a cherished part of Akash House.

Champions all the way

The start of the Inter House Atheletics Championship of the 7th Founders Day, 2008 got off to a resounding start for Akash House. Our young boys and girls "rose to the occasion" and gave our house the dream start to their campaign.

Earlier, Akash House, in keeping with the long standing tradition once again proved to be a disciplined lot in the March-past.

I am extremely proud of the young champions of the day and hope that they keep up the competetetive spirit right through the Championship.

Kudos to Mr Arbudh Thapa for "keeping Faith" and making our success story come true.

The triumph of the Underdogs

30th & 31st August has seen the turning around of the fortunes of Akash House. Starting with the Hindi Debate(seniors) and next day, the cross country, Akash House has dominated. It all goes down to the popular saying, "If you believe, you can". I am proud and privileged to be a part of this happy tranformation in Akash House. We believed and will continue to believe that "WE HAVE IT IN US" to succeed despite all odds.

A special mention of Padma Mishra & Aishwaria Sharma for clinching the Hindi debate competetion for our House, Phiraphong, Ankit and Boonbancha (Juniors), Khanjan Patel (girls) and Pranjal Bothra for securing pole positions in Inter House Cross Country race. God Bless all of you. I am feeling very nostalgic today. You all are champions and have made the entire house proud. Keep the flag flying high always.

For us winning is not the main thing but participating with the true spirit of sportsmen. Although our house does not have tall atheletes like other houses, our diminutive players with their grit and spirit have always given a good show.
